While-waiting Warm-up!
The 'Classroom-based research for professional development' EVO has now begun (it started on 14th January). Registration has now closed.
It is possible for anyone (whether registered or not) to listen in to webinars and access website activities and resources as these become available, week by week. The Facebook group associated with this EVO is also accepting new members. However, access to the Google+ community and to mentoring there is only available to those who registered by 14th January.
Before starting Week 1 activities, intending participants were encouraged to:
1) fill out a questionnaire (now closed)
2) join our Google+ community and introduce themselves there
3) get to know mentors via their short self-introductions below
4) (if time) browse some of the readings and videos about teacher-research that we've made available below.

Task 1: Questionnaire
Registration was by means of questionnaire (now closed).
Task 2: Join our Facebook and Google+ groups
We will use Facebook and Google+ to communicate in this Electronic Village Online.
In Google+ (now closed to new members, except for those who have already registered via questionnaire) we will discuss weekly tasks and share research plans and findings. Our Facebook group is also available for informal interactions.
Join our Facebook group here (you will need to have a Facebook account first). This is a 'closed group', which means that anyone can find the group and see who is in it. However, only members can see or contribute posts.
You can think of the 'Google+' pages as a kind of classroom or training room, whereas the Facebook group is for free-er social interaction, like a place where students might interact more informally during breaks.
(For those registered), familiarize yourself with how Google+ 'works' by engaging in Task 3 below. Don't hesitate to ask questions (on Facebook) if you get lost!)
